ordered some recordings from you a couple of weeks ago. I can say this after
two weeks. F@@@ING amazing!!!! I apologize for the profanity and I very
rarely use it, but I don't really have any other way of getting across what
I'm thinking. I went from a mediocre musician who was really good at faking
it and copying what I heard to someone who is always in tune, always in
rhythm, every time. Before I would space out during a song and lose my
rhythm, which even at its best was shaky. I would drag the tempo, play parts
too fast, miss cues, etc. I was someone who anyone would classify as a bad
drummer. But, I had a set, a car, and plenty of time, so I managed to get
gigs. I could fake it good enough to fit in. Now, I can get in the groove. I
had no musical pulse, if you know what I mean. Now, I really feel what I'm
doing. My brother hasn't seen me play in a couple of months and I didn't
tell him about the recordings. He just kept saying, "man, you've gotten
so much better, you're the man, etc..."
I think he really couldn't believe what he was seeing or hearing. I've had
flashes of this ability in the past, but never anything that lasted over a
night. It's happened twice in 14 years. That's why I knew I had it in
me...it was just locked inside. I could go on and on, but I won't unless you
